Mud Room Renovation | Downingtown, PA

This is the mud room of a fellow colleague of my wife. They were interested in keeping the cost down by using Ikea cabinetry. I will always work within a client’s budget if it means they get the job they envisioned. There are a ton of websites on how to use Ikea furniture in non-Ikea ways. I did my research on a few and came up with this design. Take a look below and let me know what you think.

On this wall the client wanted me to remove the builder grade wire rack and hang wall cabinets.

My client ordered and built all the Ikea cabinetry that was being installed. Just an example of how someone can keep the cost of a job down.

Here I am putting the finishing touches on the headboard and 1x material. This was the 1st job I used my DeWalt 20v 16ga trim nailer. That thing is awesome. The butcher block seat tops also came from Ikea. I cut them down to fit each area.

The cabinets above the washer and dryer. Just so you know, the client wanted the staggered handle look. I was a little nervous when I installed the doors but they told me they did it on purpose. Phew!
