Playroom Organizing | Wayne, PA

This customer has a room dedicated to their kid’s toys.  Not a bad idea…we have the same thing in our house and it is a joy to have.  There is an area in her playroom that was essentially a bench seat that the previous owners built some time ago.  They utilized this area as best they could but needed more storage as their kids acquired larger toys.  Below is a rundown of how I changed this area from a one level bench into playroom organization.

This is what the area looked like when I went to do my estimate.

All items were removed by the homeowner and I was able to start with a blank slate.

Two shelves were added to later house the TV, cable box and various toys.
Two shelves were scribed to the plaster walls, built and installed to later house the TV, cable box and various toys.  I also added vertical 1x material under the existing bench to later accept doors to close in the lower area.
Here the custom made doors (by AWLLC) were installed to the vertical 1x material to close in the lower area. The TV and cable box were installed with wire management to hide the wires.

On a return trip for my next job the homeowner had loaded up the shelves and it looks great!
